Microsoft Portugal and NOVA IMS team up to launch AI course
Microsoft Portugal today announced a partnership with NOVA Information Management School (Nova IMS), NOVA University of Lisbon, to launch an Artificial Intelligence (AI) course for C-Suite Executives: “AI for Business”.
The course will start in September and aims to offer a set of tools to support executives and business leaders to obtain practical knowledge for the definition and implementation of AI strategies in their organizations.
The materials in this course will include case studies and guides, as well as videos of lectures, perspectives and conferences directed to executives. From content that gives an overview of AI technologies that drive change across all sectors, managing the impact of AI on corporate strategy, culture and accountability.
It is currently estimated that less than 10% of companies using AI have actually managed to operationalize it effectively in their business processes or have comprehensive, integrated strategies for the entire organization.
The main reasons for this are not technological. The causes are mostly related to the lack of skills and difficulties in building value creation strategies based on available analytical skills and AI, including dimensions such as governance and ethical use of data.
