Tell Me A Song (Conta-me Uma Canção) is back at Teatro Maria Matos and it couldn’t have started better, Samuel Úria who is already participating in this format for the third time and Miguel Ângelo, for a night full of stories, laughter and music.

It was just after 9 pm when Miguel Ângelo, Samuel Úria and Mário Andrade took the stage at Maria Matos, for a night full of good cheer, stories and collaboration.

Samuel opened the concert with “Não Arrastes o Meu Caixão” followed by “Precioso” by Miguel. Still, these two artists are excellent storytellers and the Delfins, Miguel Ângelo’s solo career, his collaboration with Disney, dubbing several hits, such as Woody from the film Toy Story, but also John Smith from Pocahontas, among others in which he sings and assumes musical direction, his time in Brazil, his “hatred” of fado, his first meeting in Cascais of the two artists were some of the stories we could hear.

But also the love and hate relationship that some Brazilians have for Samuel Úria, due to the more intimate version he made of the theme “Caleidoscópio” by Paralamas do Sucesso, or his painful encounter with a fan who mistook him for Tó Trips, there were many fun moments on Maria Matos’s night.

We still had time for some surprises, such as listening to “Space Oddity” by David Bowie, a small and fair tribute, since yesterday it was 8 years since he left us, or “Lately” in a full translation of a Stevie Wonder song by Samuel, “Sou Teu Amigo Sim” from Toy Story by Miguel Ângelo, we can also hear “Arrocachula” by José Mário Branco, the night ended with “Nasce Selvagem” in unison with the audience that filled Maria Matos.

A different type of concert but that gives us a much better understanding of the artists who participate, their stories and lives beyond their music.
