After three sold-out nights in Porto, Miguel Araújo repeats the feat in Lisbon. His debut at MEO Arena, scheduled for November 1st, is officially sold out one month before the date.
Celebrating 20 years of his career, the musician has now completed four sold-out shows at two of the country’s biggest venues, cementing a unique trajectory in Portuguese music.
For this special celebration, Miguel Araújo will be joined by artists and longtime friends: Rui Veloso, António Zambujo, Os Quatro e Meia, and João Só. A lineup created to mark two decades of music, friendship, and songs that have been part of the lives of several generations.
2025 also marks the release of “Cê Barra,” a new EP of collaborations. Following the single “Saudade” with Os Quatro e Meia, the singer recently released the song “Fazer Canções,” a duet with Rui Veloso that reflects on the total dedication to this craft and the time music demands of its creators. A song that brings together two generations of composers in a complicit and luminous encounter.
Recognised as one of the most notable composers, guitarists, and performers in Portuguese music, Miguel Araújo has built a singular career, from his time with Os Azeitonas and projects like Ujos and Desconcerto, to his solo career that has led him to fill the country’s most iconic stages.
Over the course of 20 years, he has released albums such as “Cinco Dias e Meio,” “Giesta,” “Peixe Azul,” “As Canções da Esperança,” and “Chá Lá Lá,” accumulating hits and memorable collaborations. In 2024, he sold out his Casca de Noz tour again and, with Os Quatro e Meia, achieved the biggest sellout ever at the Manuel Possolo Racecourse in Cascais.
