Miguel Oliveira 11th in Australia, but regains point in the title fight

Portugal’s Miguel Oliveira (KTM) today finished 11th in the Australian Grand Prix of Moto2 and regained a point in the world title fight.

The Portuguese driver, who qualified in 20th place, was immediately ahead of the championship leader, Francesco Bagnaia (Kalex), in which he was the 17th and third-last race of the championship.

Oliveira finished 8.675 seconds behind the winner, who was his teammate, South African Brad Binder and 1,050 seconds ahead of Bagnaia.

With this result, the Almada rider now has 252 points, being 36th in the first place, occupied by the Italian from Sky Kalex.
