Miguel Oliveira in seventh at the Spanish GP of virtual MotoGP

This race had a solidary nature, seeking to raise donations to combat the pandemic of covid-19.

The Almada rider, who competes in the MotoGP World Championship ‘seriously’ at the helm of a KTM, started from seventh position on the virtual starting grid, suffered four crashes, two of them in the last lap, when he was fighting with the Italian Danilo Petrucci (Ducati ) for the sixth position.

The victory smiled at Spaniard Maverick Viñales (Yamaha), in the third virtual race organized by Dorna, the company that promotes the World Championship of speed motorcycling, second in which the Portuguese rider, who had been eighth in the previous round, participated.

Oliveira finished the 13 virtual laps at the Jerez de la Frontera track 32.377 seconds from the winner, having completed the best lap in 1.34.305 minutes. Last year, in qualifying, the Portuguese’s best real lap had been 1.38.894 minutes.
