Milhanas celebrates Nova Luz with unprecedented concerts at CCB and Casa da Música
The year 2024 has been revealing for the Portuguese artist Milhanas, who continues to establish herself as one of the great revelations of national music.
The artist now announces two highly anticipated concerts at two of the most iconic venues in the country: at Casa da Música in Porto on February 5 and at the Centro Cultural de Belém (CCB) in Lisbon on February 13.
After selling out the concert for the launch of her debut album at Teatro Maria Matos, one of the highlights of the year, Milhanas was catapulted to the main music festivals in Portugal. Her memorable performance at NOS Primavera Sound in Porto, despite adverse weather conditions, left a lasting impression where hundreds of festival-goers, even in the rain, didn’t miss the moment of the concert. Also at Festival F in Faro, the artist performed on Pomar’s Bandida Stage, filled with an audience spanning various age groups, who fervently sang the songs from her album De Sombra a Sombra.
With new music on the way, the artist’s journey is marked, and the concerts in Lisbon and Porto promise to bring a new light to her trajectory.
“When I released the album, I emotionally saw myself in all places of this story; singing it was often hard and heavy. I no longer find myself in that sad cycle of apathy; life has gained a lot of light, and it is around that light that these concerts will happen. I will revisit the album with more distance and empathy, and there will also be space for new songs that celebrate this new chapter.”

The recognition of this remarkable journey comes with her second nomination for the Golden Globes, one of the most prestigious music awards in Portugal (where she was also nominated for Revelation Artist last year), this year in the category of Best Performer. The ceremony will take place on September 29, and Milhanas is among the artists who stood out this year, consolidating her position as one of the most powerful voices in the new Portuguese music.
