After presenting his debut single, Lamentos, in 2021, Milhanas is now editing the second single from the album to be released soon, ‘Mais Que Ao Sol’.
«Although I am not a fado singer, “Lamentos” was the first song I wrote after fado wanted me to know it.» said the artist about her presentation single in 2021.
Evoking the great fadistas of the past from an early age, Milhanas proves to be a phenomenon to be taken into account by the new generation of Portuguese musicians. Her roots may be in fado, but the artist has her eyes set on the future, on contemporary times.
Produced by Agir and Justjon Mundo, ‘Mais Que Ao Sol’ mixes modern interpretations of fado with pop and urban music. A sound that transcends both the traditional and the modern, is not forgetting the past with the future in mind.
Milhanas is 20 years old. She studied music since she was a child, having learned the violin and attended classes in vocal technique, mainly focused on jazz and modern music at Musicentro de Lisboa, and also attended Musical Theater.
Nocturnal by nature, Milhanas promises to soon reveal more compositions born at dawn.
