Mimicat is experiencing a moment of great prominence in her career. In addition to serving as a judge on the RTP1 program “SuperEstrelas,” where she has shared her experience and artistic sensitivity, she now releases the new album Peito, already available on all platforms.
In the artist’s words, Peito is the home of all her emotions. Where a restless heart resides and where joy walks hand in hand with melancholy. “In it, there are my stories, those of my loved ones, and those of others. Stories that taught me that the journey is the destination. In my heart exists my truth, my journey through music and life, passion, expectations, disappointment, rebirth, pain, tears, and hope. There are wounds stitched by the hands of those who hurt and those who healed. I am the one who lives here.”
It crosses the genres that influence the singer-songwriter, showing the journey that has been her career and her identity as a Pop artist, inspired by the fusion of soul, fado, Portuguese popular music, swing, and jazz.
This is an album that features collaborations from various producers such as Filipe Survival, Twins, G-latto, and Francisco Marques, as well as significant collaborations like Matay, Tatanka, and singers Diana Filipe Survival, Twins, G-latto, and Francisco Marquesal.
To celebrate the release of the new album, Mimicat will take the stage at Teatro Maria Matos in Lisbon on October 1 for an unmissable concert. There will be several guests accompanying the artist on this special night: Catana, Diana Castro, Elisa Rodrigues, Joana Alegre, Luisa Sobral, Matay, and Tatanka, who will make this show unique in what promises to be a magical night, where the audience will hear the new songs from the album for the first time, as well as revisit some of her best-known hits.
Tickets for the show are available here and at the venue’s box office.
