2022 starts with a golden key for MIMICAT, with the new single in Portuguese “Mundo ao contrario”, which features Filipe Gonçalves, production by Filipe Survival, and distribution by Altafonte Portugal.
This theme tells a story of meeting and disagreement, wisdom and madness, attachment and detachment without ever seeing an end. As are most relationships we know that last a lifetime. It is impossible to always be close, but never far away. This theme will be part of the third disc of originals that Mimicat will release in October this year.
Mimicat’s latest single, released in 2021, “Tudo ao Ar“, is part of the soundtrack of the soap opera “Quero é Viver” on TVI, and is closely linked to the main character of the plot, São José Lapa, to the freedom of expression of the character, letting go of the shackles!
Mimicat introduced herself to the world in 2014, but the revelation of an artist who recorded her first album at the age of 9 has long been awaited. Performer, performer and composer from a very young age, she developed a warm and strong voice, characteristic of the Soul-Pop of the Anglo-Saxon tradition. She is inspired by the great voices of black music and passionate about the Pop universe, which makes Mimicat a unique artist in the current music scene.
The single “Tell Me Why” was the first song taken from their debut album “For You”, edited by Sony Music Portugal. Between 2015 and 2016 she performed the album on the most renowned stages in the country and made her international debut with concerts in Brazil. Since then Mimicat has provided its audience with countless hits.
