A stage installed on the Cávado river in Barcelinhos, Barcelos, will host, on 29 and 30 August, the second edition of River Blues, where Minneman Blues Band and Jean Paul Rena will pass, the municipality announced today.
In a statement, the City Council of Barcelos says that it is a festival that bets on the fusion of blues, soul and funk sounds.
On the 29th, the band Minneman Blues Band, led by German Wolfram Minnemann.
The next day, the stage is reserved for the Dutch Jean Paul Rena.
Still on this day, Barcelona’s L-Blues, a band from the “Guitars of Manhente” project come up on stage, putting folk, country, blues and rock side by side.
“The chosen venue – the stage on the Cávado River, installed in Barcelinhos – besides providing a scenario of great natural and patrimonial beauty, intends to make a more rational reuse of the stage that recently received the Festival of Folklore of Rio”, underlines the municipality.
The River Blues festival is organized by Barcelos Town Hall, in partnership with Eventos David Martins.
