Miss Universe were the winners of this year’s edition of the INATEL Award, an award that aims to “reward Portuguese musicians and bands who have developed their work around popular and traditional music, reinventing it and creating new styles.”
The awards ceremony took place yesterday, at Teatro da Trindade, during the INATEL 2025 Social Gala.
The project, composed by four hands by Afonso Branco and André Ivo, quickly caught the attention of the Portuguese public last year, through its originality and irreverence, by presenting the ideal marriage between tradition and avant-garde, with revolutionary songs for the modern times in we live.
After the success of “Manifesto do Jovem Moderno”, a debut album that appeared on several of the “Best Albums of the Year” lists of the main national media outlets (BLITZ/Expresso, Antena 3, Rádio Futura, among others), the band will be in tour across the country throughout 2025, with several dates already confirmed, which will be announced soon.
