Mozambique will not be present in the African Senior Basketball Championship for men, after 10 consecutive participations.
The Mozambican team said goodbye to the qualification of Afrobasket’2021 that was taking place in Tunisia, after being defeated by Angola by 91-68 and by Senegal by 84-43, and with Kenya’s victory over Angola by 74-73 eliminated any possibility of qualification.
Mozambique has not failed to participate in Afrobasket since 1999, a test that took place in Cabinda and Luanda, in Angola.
Afrobasket’2021 will be played in Rwanda.
