Moledo beach (Caminha)

Very famous beach resort from the beginning of the century. XX, Praia de Moledo is frequented by families of politicians and colonists who seek it year after year, without being seduced by other, warmer sand to the south.

In an area of great natural beauty, surrounded by the Mata do Camarido, this is a rather windy beach, bathed by the sea with strong waves, with good conditions for surfing and even windsurfing during the summer.

In front of Moledo Beach, on the small rocky island accessed by boat, stands the Fort of Ínsua, built in the 19th century. XV to convent, having in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries been the target of works that transformed it into a bastion of defense of the coast.
