“Monólogos da Vagina” at Casino Estoril

The Yellow Star Company presents, on the 8th of March, at 9 pm, the show “Monólogos da Vagina” in the Salão Preto e Prata of Casino Estoril. Directed by Paulo Sousa Costa, the play brings together Marta Andrino, Melânia Gomes, and Teresa Guilherme on stage.
“Monólogos da Vagina” are real, raw, and fun stories that reveal a little more of the disconcerting female universe. A recurring theme throughout the play is the vagina as a female empowerment tool and the ultimate embodiment of individuality. Every year, a new monologue is added by the author to highlight a current issue affecting women around the world.
Written in 1996 by the American Eve Ensler, the “Vagina Monologues” are composed of several small texts/monologues. Each of them deals with the female experience, touching on subjects such as sex, prostitution, body image, love, rape, female genital mutilation, masturbation, birth, orgasm, the various common names for the vagina, or simply as a physical part of the female body.
The Estoril Casino Black and Silver Room will host, on the 8th of March, at 9 pm, the show “Vagina Monologues”. M/16. Prices: From €15 to €25.
