‘Montanhas d’Artes’ brings together creators from six countries in Oliveira do Hospital
The ‘Montanhas d’Artes’ is an initiative of the League of Initiative and Improvements of Travanca de Lagos, with support from the Oliveira do Hospital municipality, chaired by José Carlos Alexandrino, and the Directorate-General for the Arts, in partnership with the Association Image of Seia and the Cooperativa Cultural Artistas de Gaia.
The program, whose official opening is scheduled for Friday, at 8:30 pm, at the headquarters of the Liga de Travanca de Lagos, includes interventions and artistic residencies, collective exhibitions of plastic arts, live painting and performances.
Artists from Portugal, Brazil, Germany, Angola, Holland, and France participate.
On the second day, at 10:00 am, several exhibitions are opened in different public and private spaces in the city of Oliveira do Hospital, while at 11:30 am the focus will be on the Ribeiro do Amaral square that hosts the performance installation “Dark Cloud”, by Fábio Colaço.
Still on Saturday, in the Oliveira Mano garden, there will be live sculpture, and in the old water reservoir of the city, on Avenida Carlos Campos, the urban artist Tiago Hacke will paint a mural with the fauna species of the municipality’s aquatic ecosystems, according to a note of the Chamber.
On Sunday, April 25th, coinciding with the 47th anniversary of the Carnation Revolution, there will be more live paintings, with a visit to the works of the artists in residence and the exhibitions scheduled at 12:00.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to appreciate the collective work of students from the Visual Arts Course of the Oliveira do Hospital School Group.
The exhibitions can be visited until the end of May, followed by an itinerant cycle in June.
