Moonspell and Emanuel at the Festas do Barreiro
Barreiro received Moonspell and Emanuel in the main stage of the Nossa Senhora do Rosário Festivities.
[dropcap type=”background”]M[/dropcap]oonspell, the heavy metal band from Lisbon, formed in 1992, gave a concert on the 12th at Nossa Senhora do Rosário Festivities, in Barreiro, at 10 pm.
The band was greeted by thousands of fans who filled the room with energy, sang in their lungs the songs they knew about the heavy metal band and could hear a little of the new album titled “1755”.
“1755” was the best selling Heavy Metal album in Portugal between 2017 and 2018, and is the latest Moonspell album, sung in Portuguese.
The next day, the 13th, was Emanuel‘s turn, at 10 pm, he went up to the Palco das Marés to perform in front of thousands of fans who had been waiting for him for a long time.
Emanuel is one of the most popular singers of the so-called pimba music, being the author of the 1995 hit “Pimba Pimba”, from which the term was used to label a specific genre of popular music in Portugal.
On the secondary stage, Spot of Youth, came names such as Filii Nigrantium Infernalium, DJ Job [Theriomorphic], DJ Firmeza and Otavinho.
The Barreiro’s festivites in honour of Nossa Senhora do Rosário continue until the 18th and you can still hear “Deixem o Pimba em Paz”
with the comedian Bruno Nogueira and, the Clã singer Manuela Azevedo, Jimmy P, Barbara Bandeira, DJ Kamala and David Carreira
At Youth Spot they could also see Simply Rockers Sound System, Kyra Band, Strada, Clement, Djumbai Jazz, No Vanity, Sea & Sun Soundsystem, Whale Whale, Lunnar Lhamas, Dekko, Shaka Lion and Spread Ember.
On the Motoclub stage you can enjoy Klassicos, Mcb band and Nuggyland.
