More than 40 artists at the Bianual Meeting of Performing Arts (Re)union
More than 40 artists will participate in the 2nd edition of the Bianual Meeting of Performing Arts – (Re) union, which will take place from Thursday in various spaces of Lisbon, according to the organization.
Until September 23rd, artists will present works, share their research practices through workshops and intervene in the public space of the city. .
The goal is to “propose a dialogue with creation and encourage experimentation and reflection,” the organization says.
The 2nd edition of the Bianual Meeting of Performative Arts – (Re) union is an autonomous initiative of young national and international artists from 13 countries, “interested in contributing to a community of artists through self-organized activities, and with a strong desire to generate crosses between peers. ”
In the six spaces of the capital, performances, work-in-progress processes and ateliers for children and adults will be presented with most of the free access programming.
The (Re) union will also invite artists and the public to participate in a series of debates on contemporary creation in the performing arts.
On September 21, at 6:00 p.m., the book “My background is now memories and processes of a training in contemporary dance” will be presented. The editorial team is composed by Claudia Canarim, Julia Salaroli, Sezen Tonguz and Vitória Teles Grilo.
The coordination of (Re) union is the responsibility of Sezen Tonguz, choreographer and performer who has presented his works in Europe, Brazil and the United States.
