The registration period is now open (it runs until April 30) and in September new pieces will debut, many of them being absolute premieres. This year it will take place between the 8th and the 30th of September and each group will present two sessions.
But what is the show_T?
Mostra_T was born eight years ago from the need to respond to numerous requests for hosting that arrived at TEC (Teatro Experimental de Cascais) throughout the year.
The choice is made during the first quarter of 2023, after opening applications at the beginning of the year, according to criteria of quality of presentation, suggested repertoire, and new artistic options. The objectives of the mostra_T are to support young groups from the Professional School of Theater in Cascais, as well as from other national institutions of artistic education.
The main objective of the mostra_T is to create an interesting dynamic between several schools, to encourage the appearance of new groups and artists of Portuguese origin, giving them visibility, and space, in order to have some financial return for their productions (the result of the box office when of the premiere in September is given in full to these new companies/artists) and to present a program aimed at younger audiences.
The entire TEC production and technical team is present to monitor the assembly and disassembly, providing support throughout the process.
