Multivision has more than 200 job openings for projects in Portugal

In order to respond to new projects, Multivision seeks resources outside and within Portugal. Most vacancies are hybrids from Portugal.

Multivision, a company specialized in providing consultancy services for the areas of Telecommunications and Information Technologies, has more than 200 job openings in the area of information technologies for various projects, and in different areas of the country.

The company offers employment opportunities in several areas of technology and software development, with Data Engineering projects in Java or .Net environments representing the majority of vacancies. Lisbon and Porto are the preferred locations – as it is in these cities where the majority of customers are located –, but Multivision also has vacancies in Aveiro, Coimbra, and other locations. At the moment, 10% of the opportunities are completely remote – the rest are hybrids from Portugal.

“At the moment, Multivision has 43 business partners, and hiring needs are always urgent. In this sense, the vacancies we provide cover IT professionals, Portuguese or foreign. Portugal is a country with highly qualified professionals, but it is a small country with few resources for the needs that exist in this area. Therefore, our strategy was to expand the search for professionals in other countries, as is the case in Brazil, and explore new markets. The objective is to bring them to Portugal and respond to the partners”, says Edson Leite, CEO of Multivision.

The high demand for qualified professionals and the lack of resources in Portugal makes the technology company consider recruiting people from outside the country. For example, Brazil, due to its geographical density and technological innovation, is full of good professionals in the areas Multivision is looking for. “The language and cultural proximity make us an attractive destination for professionals who want to experience an international career in Europe. At Multivision, 50% of employees are of Brazilian nationality, but we have a great diversity of nationalities, with employees from countries such as Nigeria, Colombia, Poland, Angola, Iran, Pakistan, Italy, and Venezuela”, adds the CEO of Multivision.

Accompaniment for international talents and support in emigration

Hiring foreign professionals in Portugal brings some challenges, namely with the migration requirements of the consulates of the respective countries of origin, which do not always have visas available.

As such, with foreign employees in mind, Multivision offers a follow-up service for international talent, through a partner that provides legal and financial support in immigration, as well as help with relocation in Portugal. In this way, the visa application, the search for housing, and the documentation in social security or other public bodies are facilitated. In addition, all employees on contract at Multivision are entitled to a training allowance, health insurance, and psychological support, among other benefits.
