MURTA confirmed at EDPCOOLJAZZ
Murta performs on July 2nd at EDPCOOLJAZZ, the same day John Legend takes the stage. The shows by EDPCOOLJAZZ take place at Hipódromo Manuel Possolo, in Cascais.
Francisco Murta appears on the public radar when he competed for the television program “The Voice Portugal”, where he reached the final Gala, in 2016. In 2018, Murta collaborates with the young Algarvian rapper Domi, on the single “Rosas” and edits his first single “ Porquê“. In 2019 he edited his first album D’ Art Vida, which includes themes such as “Saudade” and “Segredos”. In 2020, he was nominated for a newcomer award in the second edition of the Play Awards and launched the theme “Alguém que Mude”. In 2021 he edited the theme “Palavra”.
Born in Figueira da Foz, he grew up between Samora and Benavente and, at least until he was 12 years old, he still didn’t feel the passion he feels today for music. The hazards of life ended up taking him to the piano, gradually discovering an interest that never left him. Today, not only is he the one who writes the lyrics and composes the music for his songs, but he also plays various musical instruments, such as the piano, guitar, bass, ukelele, among others. The desire to continue learning led him to the Hot Club, in 2016, to explore voice and piano more. From then onwards, he started to give more and more concerts and with the positive feedback he was getting, he realized that he could devote himself fully to music.

NEW CONFIRMATIONS SOON
The EDPCOOLJAZZ is postponed to 2022 following the pandemic and respective legal and public health conditions, namely with the approval of the Portuguese Government’s draft law, which determines the non-realization of scheduled events in the normal format by virtue of COVID 19.
Tickets issued for the 17th edition of the EDPCOOLJAZZ in 2020 and 2021 are valid for the 2022 edition, with no need to exchange.
