Until September 30, the Museu do Traje hosts the exhibition “RETRATOS de hoje e de antes” (“Portraits of today and before”), by the Casa de Portugal Folklore Group of the Principality of Andorra, as part of the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of this association.
This exhibition arises from the need that the elements of the group felt to reinvent themselves due to the constraints caused by the pandemic. The dancers then opted to carry out photo sessions in the house-museums of the principality of Andorra that brought together architectural conditions to recreate the experiences of their ancestors from the first half of the 20th century.
“Our emigrants are the most beautiful proof that, as the years pass, the love for the land where they were born does not fade. Therefore, it is always with emotion that I follow the work of associations, institutions or groups that, across borders, insist on promoting what is ours”.
