On the three days, from October 3rd to the 5th, the Implantation of the Republic holiday, between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm, admission will be free to visit the exhibitions in the two buildings including the newly opened “Ballad of Today”, by André Cepeda, and “Festa. Fúria. Femina. – Works from the FLAD Collection” (Luso-American Foundation for Development).
The program also includes guided visits to the gardens of the EDP Foundation and thematic visits to architecture, itinerant music with Farra Fanfarra, and Swing na Guelra, children’s theater, workshops and talks by artists.
The program includes activities for various ages, such as the children’s workshop “The magic of the electromagnet” and the children’s theater, with the show/reading staged “How long are we?”, The conversation “A map of cod” in Lisbon, with André Tavares, the conversation/performance “Lado B: Paulo Brighenti – A Herança” and visits to the museum’s gardens, among other initiatives.
Thematic architectural visits are also planned, including visits to accessible spaces for blind or low vision audiences.
Opened on October 4, 2016, MAAT is a museum of contemporary art in Lisbon, which also crosses architecture and technology, located in the area of Belém, next to the Tagus river, created by the EDP Foundation.
