Museum of Broken Relationships opens tomorrow in Aveiro

The Teatro Aveirense opens tomorrow, August 14, the exhibition of the Museum of Broken Relationships, at Edifício Estação. The exhibition can be visited free of charge until October 3rd and invites the public to discover stories of love and disaffection through the most varied personal objects.

The pieces from the Museum of Broken Relationships were donated anonymously and tell the most diverse moments in the lives of these people, telling stories of broken hearts from around the world, including several examples from Aveiro, raised through an open call in June and July.

The Museum of Broken Relationships is a physical and digital project by Olinka Vištica and Dražen Grubišić, created in Zagreb, Croatia, in 2006. It is made up solely of pieces donated by the community and, since then, has taken thousands of objects and stories throughout the world. world, challenging the very concept of heritage. In 2010 it won the EMYA Kenneth Hudson Award as Europe’s most innovative and daring museum project.
