Museums, monuments and art galleries can be open until 10:30 pm
Museums, monuments, palaces, archaeological sites, and galleries, which can reopen from Monday, can be open until 22:30 on weekdays and 13:00 on weekends and holidays.
The reopening of these cultural facilities, foreseen in the Government’s deconfinition plan, was confirmed today by the Prime Minister, António Costa, in a press conference, at the end of the Council of Ministers.
As far as cultural activities are concerned, the Government’s deconfination plan foresees that the reopening of theaters, theaters, auditoriums and cinemas will be possible from April 19.
According to the Ministry of Culture, in a statement released after the Council of Ministers today, these cultural facilities may reopen with the same rules that existed at the time of its closure.
The daily closing hours will be at 10:30 pm on weekdays and at 1:00 pm on weekends and holidays and the operating rules contained in Guideline 028/2020, of DGS [Directorate-General for Health], still apply. in force.
The closing time of these rooms is thus extended by half an hour, in relation to what had been announced by the General Inspection of Cultural Activities (IGAC), on March 18, and then reiterated on the 25th of the same month.
