The first Portuguese edition of the MATE festival takes place in Coimbra between the 20th and 24th of October, in spaces such as the Hub Criativo Lufapo, the National Museum of Machado de Castro, the Convento São Francisco and the Salão Brazil, allowing the circulation of different spaces and areas of the city from Alta, Baixa and Santa Clara. In this circulation it will be possible to watch artistic interventions.
Over four days, shows are scheduled with musicians from various nationalities. In addition to the concerts, there are also lectures, mentoring sessions and book launches. The festival wants to focus on the creative industries, with special emphasis on the music sector and is designed for professionals, artists, creatives, entrepreneurs, brands, students from the universe of the music/cultural industry and the general public.
The festival is motivated by the promotion of representativeness of diversity and appreciation of professional activities in the cultural and creative industries, also opening space for areas of law, accounting or management related to the creative industries.
The entire musical program will be announced during the month of August.
MATE Europe will tour 3 European cities: Santiago de Compostela (21st to 23rd September), Thessaloniki (5th, 6th and 7th October) and Coimbra.
