Today, Rádio Nómada at the Museu da Cidade ends its stay at the Popular Library of Pedro Ivo, with a special broadcast throughout the day – live and live at Praça do Marquês – which offers readings, conversations and a nine-minute marathon. concerts of emerging Porto musicians, a proposal by Matéria Prima.
The Radio Station of the Museum of the City inhabited the space of that small open-air library, summoning the sound and the experience of listening as a way of approximation and contact. And so it reopened the doors.
The temporary stay of Rádio Estação in the Nomadic Mode of the Popular Library of Pedro Ivo, arrives today, Sunday, May 16, at the final stretch, proposing a special closing program. Throughout the day, tuning to Rádio Estação on an invisible site or on a frequency in the Marquês neighborhood (2 km) 96.3FM, between 9 am and 8 pm, broadcasts directly on and from Praça do Marquês the item “Rádio Nomad”.
Passers-by and listeners are invited to listen around Jardim do Marquês, discovering the new sounds of a concert marathon of nine promising new agitators of Porto’s experimental music, a proposal by Matéria Prima, authors of the “Arca” section. This “Ark, a ship that travels the local creative latitudes and defies all silences”, brings us showcases by Francisco Oliveira, Noxin, Vasco Lé, Vicente Mateus, Inês Malheiro, Ritual Instructions, Nuno Oliveira, Canadian Riffles and Neither Neither.
Among the usual headings, there will be an antenna for the return of the “Ecos da Biblioteca Sonora”, reading performance by the voluntary readers of the Biblioteca Sonora, under the direction of Nuno Preto.
