Registration open between February 14th and March 27th
It was in 1997 that Lisbon City Hall revived the tradition of Santo Antônio Weddings – an initiative that began in the late 1950s and was interrupted in 1974 – and began to include, in addition to the religious ceremony, civil weddings. Since then, there have been 285 religious weddings and 130 civil weddings.
415 weddings later, we once again bring together the city’s most passionate couples in a new edition of the Santo António Weddings – one of the most exciting moments of the Lisbon Festivities celebrated in June.
And if you’re planning on getting married, this is the month to get started: on the 14th – Valentine’s Day – we officially open registration for the Santo Antônio Weddings 2025, inviting all couples to celebrate their union at a unique party.
For the ceremony held between the Lisbon Cathedral and the Salão Nobre dos Paços do Concelho (civil weddings), on June 12, applications must be formalized by March 27.
The general conditions for participation in this edition can be consulted on the EGEAC website and the registration form will be available at the Lisbon Stores in Alcântara, Baixa, Entrecampos, Marvila and Saldanha.
As in the last editions, 16 couples (11 for the religious ceremony and 5 for the civil ceremony) will be selected for this initiative promoted by the Lisbon City Council and organized by EGEAC, which annually provides a unique party attended by thousands of people. A great celebration that, in addition to the dresses, rings and the wedding, also includes the hen/stag party and the honeymoon, thanks to the contribution of dozens of partners and sponsors.
