“We don’t want to live in a country of fear”

Students from Professor Adérito Lopes’ theatre course at the Institute for Social Development (IDS) will join the rally scheduled for next Sunday, June 15, at 4:00 p.m., in solidarity with actor Adérito Lopes, a recent victim of an assault outside the A Barraca theatre.

Under the motto “We don’t want to live in a country of fear,” the initiative was called by a group of artists committed to defending freedom and democracy.

The IDS students will be present at this rally to support the fight against fear and repression, defending the values ​​of artistic freedom and democratic coexistence.

The IDS vocational school condemns the vile assault committed against its professor Adérito Lopes, coordinator of the Actor/Actress course for almost a decade, and wishes him a speedy recovery.
