“Não Vejo a Hora de Ir” is the first single from Motor, the new band created by Budda Guedes (Voice and Guitar) and João Cabeleira (Guitar) that preceded the band’s first album.
The self-titled album comprises 10 songs by Budda Guedes and João Cabeleira, and was recorded at Xutos e Pontapés studios in September. With the band together in the same room, without overdubs and without headphones, with the amplifiers flowing into the same room, this record was made in the ancestral way of Rock. 4 musicians in the same room making music at the same time.
Produced, recorded, and mixed by Budda Guedes himself, this was the formula found to make rock music in 2022, with the energy of the classics. Without resorting to the editions and manipulations that have been transforming music into an infinite ready-to-wear.
What you hear is what was played in those 4 days in the studio. 10 rock songs show two generations of musicians living together and cooperating.
João Cabeleira’s experience and wisdom, which comes from the creation of Portuguese Rock, with the vision of Budda Guedes, very marked by the grunge generation and the 90s, brings a new band that wants to be fresh and contemporary, proud to be Portuguese and with an unapologetically Rock attitude.
Voice, two guitars, bass, and drums, mark a longed-for return of Rock in Portuguese, freshly made. The joining of these two generations of musicians contributes a lot to a new sound with solid roots.
The engine is warmed up, the disk is on its way, it arrives on March 3rd, ready to roll on national roads.
