Thinking about the lunches and dinners to come, Continente Kitchen has prepared a selection of traditional recipes, made with the best ingredients, so you don’t spend hours in the kitchen and can dedicate more time ‘At the table with everyone’.
Created according to classic methods that respect the flavour and origin of each dish, these meals arrive ready to finish at home, guaranteeing practicality without sacrificing the authenticity and homemade flavour that mark this festive season.
In addition to classic Christmas Eve dishes – such as slow-cooked roast turkey and cod or octopus à Lagareiro, which evoke family memories – there are also recipes specially designed for those who like to surprise, such as Turkey Leg in Port Wine with Chestnuts, Mushrooms and Roasted Potatoes and Braised Pork Cheeks in Port Wine with Mashed Potatoes.
And because everyone has a place at the table, Cozinha Continente offers vegetarian alternatives – such as Tofu with Cornbread, Roasted Potatoes and Sautéed Greens and Bulgur with Mushrooms, Roasted Pumpkin, Cheese and Pumpkin Seeds. For fans of the more typical Cozinha Continente dishes, the much-loved Bacalhau Espiritual (a codfish dish) and Duck Rice are also available.
The Continente Christmas catalogue also features a variety of starters – such as Smoked Meat and Apple Pie, Puff Pastry Pie with Transmontana Sausage and Spinach, or Salmon and Spinach – side dishes – such as Cabbage Migas with Black-Eyed Peas and Chorizo – and desserts – such as the classic Egg Pudding and Orange Cake.
The Continente Kitchen also offers two family menus for six people, consisting of a starter, main course, and dessert, starting at €10.59 per person.
There are more than 30 recipes available in the Continente Kitchen catalogue, which can be ordered until December 15th (for Christmas) and until December 22nd (for New Year’s). Orders can be placed at the takeaway counter in Continente stores, by phone (210 155 555) or online (at continente.pt), and can be collected in store or delivered to your home via Continente Online or at the Click&Go store.
