National Beach Volleyball Championship has scheduled its return

The National Beach Volleyball Championship has already scheduled its return to the Portuguese sands.

The Lidl 2020 Championship, which brings together the best pairs of male and female seniors, kicks off on July 17th at Praia da Rocha, in Portimão, with pre-registration open until July 10th.

The main reason for Beach Volleyball to be able to resume the competition immediately is due to the fact that this aspect of Volleyball is considered an individual sport.

The Lidl 2020 Championship starts on the 17th of this month in Portimão, an Algarve city known for being the stage of important national and international competitions of various modalities, and, in addition to the numerous stages of the National Beach Volleyball Championship, of the Championship Regional of AVAL and Portimão Beach Volley Youth Summer Festival – LET THEM PLAY, in Praia da Rocha, in 2015, has already hosted two editions of the European League (2007 and 2009) and games of the European Silver League 2019, in female seniors, in Volleyball indoor, among other important activities.

In all, there will be five stages, the 5th stage of which will be considered the Final of the Lidl Championship and will be played at Praia Internacional do Porto, next to Edifício Transparente, in Cidade Invicta.

In addition to the National Championship, the sands of the beach adjacent to the Transparent Building have already received several international events, including the Under-19 World Cup, in 2010, 2013 and 2014, the Under-18 European Championship (2010), the Under-23 (2011) and the 7th University World Championship 2014, in Beach Volleyball.
