Native Townhouses designed by Architect Miguel Saraiva recreate traditional Portuguese house
Native Townhouses stand out for their contemporary lines that respect traditional Portuguese architecture and for defending the perfect balance of dimensions between the city and nature.
Miguel Saraiva was the architect chosen to design the Townhouses project at Native. A unique project, which recreates the concept of a traditional house with contemporary lines and which perfectly combines the best of the city with nature.
For this project, the prestigious architect recovered the concept of an overlapping gable roof that he updated with smooth, white tiles. It is a reinterpretation of the traditional Portuguese house, which harmoniously integrates into the region’s landscape. The result is an architecture of extreme quality, which is perpetuated in time and space and is marked by the incorporation of contemporary elements.
Miguel Saraiva, responsible for the Saraiva + Associados studio, says that: “the Native Townhouses are a reinterpretation of the classic Portuguese house, a project in which I was concerned that they function in a very natural way, in the continuous relationship with the rhythm of the roofs, and that it respected the existing surroundings.” And he continues: “Townhouses are a reflection of what, from my perspective, housing should be: balance. The relationship between the size of the house and the size of the family is very appropriate. It’s not a giant house, nor is it a small apartment. It’s home.”
In total, there are six exclusive villas on plots of 570 m2, each with 254 m2 of interior area, large balconies, four en-suite bedrooms, fully equipped kitchens and a large garden and swimming pool. These are houses designed for comfort, which unite the living room, kitchen and garden, in a space where life flows naturally.
On the other hand, the landscaping project combines a variety of species and materials to create a natural transition from the porch, garden and pool to the interior of the house. Inside, the design offers a life made of space and light, both in the social and private areas, with carefully chosen finishes.
The Native Townhouses are located next to the future Native.HUB, is a space that includes a swimming pool, co-working, co-kitchen, gym and kid’s club, for use by future residents.
