Navy reopens cultural facilities with free admission until the 20th

This equipment will have free visits until the 20th, celebrating the International Day of Mine (May 18th) and the Navy Day (May 20th).

The Frigate D. Fernando II and Glória, moored on the river quay of Cacilhas, in Almada, the Central Marine Library, in Junqueira, in Lisbon, will reopen next Monday, as well as the Vasco da Gama Aquarium, in Dafundo, municipality of Oeiras, and the Museu de Marinha, at the Jerónimos Monastery, also in Lisbon.

The Navy adopts safety rules: mandatory use of a mask for visitors and employees, social distance of two meters, acrylic barrier for attendance, simultaneous limit of visitors, regular cleaning and ventilation of spaces and availability of gel alcohol along the route of visit.

Visitors are advised to use the online ticket service, to pay by card and not to touch display elements, such as showcases and aquariums.

The Museum, an initiative of King Luís, was founded in 1863 and brings together collections of various objects related to Portuguese maritime activity.
