Nayr Faquirá shares “Brinde”, the third and final single anticipated for her debut album, Entrelinhas, scheduled for release at the end of May. After “On & On” and “Tua”, the artist cries for urgency and freedom.
In a symbolic and personal gesture, the theme is launched on April 25th as a way of paying tribute to the freedom achieved and the freedom yet to be achieved, especially for so many women whose voices continue to be underestimated or silenced. “It’s not easy to be free and have a voice, but it’s urgent,” says Nayr.
“Brinde” is, above all, this manifesto: an act of courage, an attempt to shed light on one’s own shadows and, who knows, also on those of those who listen. The words arrive sharp and thoughtful, like a toast to what we were, what we are and what we still have to achieve.
Entrelinhas, the artist’s long-awaited first album, will be released at the end of May. Over 14 tracks, Nayr Faquirá will present a deeply personal and honest record, where she sings everything that so often goes unsaid. Through the fusion of genres and lyrical and confessional writing, the artist builds a space of creative and emotional freedom, establishing herself as one of the most relevant voices of the new generation of Portuguese-speaking music.
