The athlete was in the second position, behind the athlete of Azerbaijan and ahead of the opponent coming from Germany.

The first place in the final, which took place a few moments ago, belongs to the Azerbaijan athlete, but the jump of 17.11 meters – his best record at the time – allowed the 34-year-old Portuguese to bring the medal for second place home. The third position was for the German Max Heb.
The medal won today is the 11th in major competitions and allows Évora to finish the season as the third best European of the year on the indoor track.
Nelson Evora, it is remembered, holds the national track record covered with a 17.40-meter jump reached in Birmingham, England, last year.
