After sharing the first two singles, Friend of a Friend, featuring Michelle Gurevich and Who Can Resist featuring Kurt Wagner, Rodrigo Leão unveils the third song from his upcoming album A Estranha Beleza da Vida, with a global release in October by BMG: “A Valsa da Petra”.
As Rodrigo Leão says: “A Valsa da Petra” is a theme that was originally composed for the documentary “Democracia em Vertigem” by a Brazilian filmmaker named Petra Costa and with whom I really enjoyed working. It ended up not being in that film, but I was always willing to edit it later. It’s a happy theme, but it conveys some nostalgia, some nostalgia for our childhood, our birthdays, our toys”.
This new track from the album A Estranha Beleza da Vida emphasizes the whole idea of this album, in which each single becomes a chapter of a film that we always listen to, waiting for a new event.
“A Valsa da Petra” will be available on the usual digital platforms (Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer) from 3 September. A Estranha Beleza da Vida is already on pre-sale, anticipating its global edition in October.
The A Liberdade Trilogy, a special edition with a cover by artist Teresa Vilaverde, is also in the pre-sale phase, which brings together the album O Modo, the physical edition of the EP AVIS 2020 and the new work A Estranha Beleza da Life and what the author describes as being “about the freedom that we can try to create without barriers, without limits.”
