Niall Horan Releases New Single “Meltdown”

Niall's third studio album, "The Show", hits stores on June 9

On his new single, “Meltdown,” Niall Horan delivers a feverish anthem that perfectly captures the frenzy of anxiety, turning the song’s chorus into a moment of reassurance for fans (“When it all melts down, I’ll be there”).

Released today by Capitol Records, the song is part of the new musician album, “The Show”, which will be released on June 9th. Niall Horan wrote the catchy song with John Ryan and Joel Little, who also produced, and Amy Allen. Listen to “Meltdown”.

With songs like “Meltdown,” Horan highlights the driving force behind his songwriting approach: a sincere desire to give fans the same sense of catharsis that he unfailingly finds in music. “Whenever I have a problem, the easiest thing is to sit at the piano and let it all out, and it’s not until I hear it that I realize, ‘Jesus, that was honest,’” he explains.

A deeply felt meditation on everything from mental health to the infinite complexity and uncertainty of love, “The Show” is a riveting statement about following our hearts to absolute truth. Esquire wrote: “‘The Show includes some of Horan’s most vulnerable songwriting. Composed primarily at the piano, this album is an intimate reflection of his life in recent times…” Fans who pre-order the digital album will immediately receive “Meltdown” and the first single, “Heaven”.

This summer, Niall Horan will go to several festivals, having already scheduled his return to Portugal, with a concert on the 9th of August at MEO Sudoeste.

“Heaven” became the highest new entry on the Spotify Global Chart and Spotify US Chart. It also achieved the highest volume streaming day of his solo career so far. “Rolling Stone” declared that “the era of Niall Horan’s certified lover has begun”. While Billboard notes, “‘Heaven’, which features third album ‘The Show’, achieves eternal love with a vocal elasticity and guitar sound that complement each other with ease.”

Born in Mullingar, Ireland, Horan has sold over 80 million records and toured the world extensively as part of the iconic One Direction. His solo debut, “Flicker”, entered the Billboard top 200 in October 2017, and the singles “Slow Hands” (Triple Platinum in the US) and “This Town” were part of the album. (Double Platinum in the US). The album reached the top 10 in 20 countries in total. “Flicker” has more than 8 billion combined streams and has been certified platinum in five countries (including the US) and gold in seven other countries. This was followed in 2020 by the album “Heartbreak Weather” which topped the UK and Billboard album sales charts. Recently, Horan joined “The Voice” in the USA as a new mentor.
