Just a few steps from the beach, Nicolau Cascais marks its second anniversary with a renewed menu that combines comforting flavours, seasonal freshness and the relaxed atmosphere that is so characteristic of the space.
Two years after opening its doors in the village, Nicolau Cascais continues to be the ideal meeting point for light, colourful and flavorful meals — always with the cool and cosy atmosphere that is part of the group’s DNA. To mark the date, a new menu is available for all hours of the day, with 10 new options that combine creativity, comfort and that Nicolau touch that has already conquered Lisbon and Porto.
Among the new items, there are perfect options to start the day calmly, such as Scones with Butter and Jam (€6.00), or for a quick snack, designed for the little ones, Filhotes Nicolau (€6.00), served on brioche bread. Brunch continues to be a star attraction with suggestions such as the Nicolau Egg Muffin (€7.20) — with crispy bacon, cheddar cheese and fried egg — or the new Nicolau Vegan Toast (€6.50), with pumpkin hummus and sautéed mushrooms.
In the main dishes, Nicolau focuses on a fusion between comfort and the easy pace of life by the sea. The Mac & Cheese (€9.00) brings that indulgent flavour that never fails, the Xau Xau Rice (€8.00) combines simplicity and texture, and the Salmon Salad with Wild Rice (€14.00) is an ode to freshness, with caramelised walnuts, roasted pumpkin, kale and edamame.
To end the meal (or to start at the end), some sweets live up to the house’s reputation, such as the Peanut Butter Squares (€4.50) or the Rabanada Brûlée (€5.50), with brioche and crème brûlée that promise to sweeten any moment of the day.
