Campo Pequeno experienced a night of memory, with the pop icon of the 80s, Kim Wilde, as fans declared their eternal love for the singer from the first chord.
Campo Pequeno did not dress formally to see Kim, few attended the Lisbon venue, but those who did made a celebration with a full house, fans who declared their eternal love for the singer, sang all the songs, and danced from beginning to end.
Many musical memories passed through the stage, “Never Trust a Stranger,” “Cambodia,” “You Keep Me Hanging On,” and “You Came,” but of course for the farewell, “Kids in America” echoed throughout Campo Pequeno, during this 2024 Kim Wilde European Tour that has been visiting several countries.
Kim Wilde was one of the biggest pop-rock icons of the 80s, conquering the world with her distinctive voice, exuberant beauty, and memorable choreography. She was born in Chiswick, London, in 1960, and became a musical phenomenon, selling millions of records.
Daughter of rocker Marty Wilde, Kim grew up in a musical environment; her solo career “exploded” in the early 80s, with hits like “Kids in America” and “Chequered Love.” Her pop-rock style, with new-wave influences, quickly made her one of the most popular artists of the time.
Her music videos were innovative for the time and contributed to the popularization of music videos. Her songs continue to succeed on radio and at parties across all generations. In addition to being a singer, Kim Wilde has also appeared in several television series and movies; she is also passionate about gardening and has a television show on the subject.
