The concerts will take place in various spaces in the city of Caldas da Rainha, in the Leiria district, from museums, schools, cafes and bus stations.
The festival starts on October 29th with Swiss pianist Nik Bärtsch, and on October 30th, Portuguese bassist Carlos Bica, German saxophonist Daniel, and DJ Illvibe perform.
On November 4th it is the turn of Orquestra Jazz de Matosinhos, the trio of Norwegian Tord Gustavsen on the 5th, and on November 6th, it is Samara Joy’s turn with Pasquale Grasso Trio.
The festival also includes a workshop, guided by Manuel Linhares and dedicated to improvisation and vocal creativity, on October 30th, and a conference on “The Great Standards of Jazz”, by researcher João Moreira dos Santos and by composer and guitarist Cláudio Alves , on November 5th.
