Universal Studios Japan announced that the dedicated Nintendo theme park, the Super Nintendo World, will open its doors on February 4, 2021, unveiling that one of the attractions will be a roller coaster inspired by Mario Kart.
The attraction will be located in a structure similar to the villain Bowser’s castle and will make use of projection technology. In addition, visitors will be able to use Augmented Reality glasses for greater immersion. Universal Studios Japan indicates that visitors will be able to compete in races at this attraction, using power-ups and items to win the lead.
The organization indicates that it is already working on the expansion of the Super Nintendo World and that, in addition to this area dedicated to ‘Super Mario’, there will be a future area inspired by ‘Donkey Kong’.
