No one has scored so much in this edition of the Champions as FC Porto
Dragons added 16 points, a ratio that no other winner of the other groups managed to raise.
They have finished the group stage of the Champions League and it is, therefore, time for some balances of this first part of the greater European test of clubs. FC Porto is the only Portuguese club to go to the elimination phase and it was the team that obtained the highest number of points in this edition.
The team led by Sérgio Conceição secured the first place in Group D and got a total of 16 points, a ratio that no other winner of the other groups managed to achieve.
In Group A, Borussia Dortmund took the lead with 13 points, the same as Atletico Madrid, runner-up.
In group B, Barcelona collected 14 points and the first place.
In group C, perhaps the most detailed of this edition, the PSG reached the mark of 11 points. In group E, Bayern Munich added 14 points. In F, the Manchester City of Pep Guardiola stayed for the 13 points. In group G Real Madrid had 12, and in Group H, Juventus was not more than 12.
It should be noted that the draw for the last 16 of the event takes place next Monday at 11 o’clock. FC Porto will know the name of the opponent that will face and already has a certainty. It will be one of these teams included in the following batch: Ajax, Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, Lyon, Manchester United, Roma, and Tottenham.
