New Circus Nights at Casino Lisboa with Luiz Amorim and Angélica Evrard
The Novo Circo shows are one of the highlights of Casino Lisboa’s entertainment program. In the large space of the Arena Lounge, Luiz Amorim will perform on the 24th and Angélica Evrard on the 31st. The artists will perform in two sets, not to be missed, with free entry.
Luiz Amorim – Straps: 24th
Luiz Amorim is a Brazilian artist, whose journey in the circus world began with a passion for art and performance. After graduating from Brazil, he improved his skills in several disciplines, standing out especially in aerial acrobatics. He has distinguished himself in several classical circuses and performing arts companies, where his talent and stage presence captivated audiences.
One of Luiz Amorim’s most impressive performances is his performance in straps. He combines strength and spectacularity in this number, rising on aerial ribbons with mastery, mesmerizing the audience. Her mastery of the art of strap-ons is evident in the harmony between fluid movements and moments of impact, creating an unforgettable experience for all spectators.
Angélica Evrard – Chain: 31st
Angélica Evrard returns to Arena Lounge to star in “Anput – The Feminine Ending”. The number is a tribute to the goddess Anput, the female counterpart of the God Anubis. Both are part of the pantheon of gods of Ancient Egypt. Anput is celebrated in many funeral rituals, caring for and watching over souls to ensure their crossing into the world of the dead and eternal life in the afterlife.
The aerial acrobatics are performed on chains. Through large turns and flexibility movements, they give malleability to the strength and rigidity of the device’s metallic material, creating an allegory of the atonement of life itself.
