Norberto Mourão is world runner-up of VL2 200 meters

Sporting Paracanoist also secured the first place for Portugal at the 2020 Paralympic Games, which will take place in Tokyo.

Norberto Mourão won the silver medal in the VL2 200 meters category this Thursday at the Paracanoagem World Championships, which are currently taking place in Hungary.

The Portuguese athlete, who represents Sporting, finished the final in second place, just behind the Brazilian Luís Silva, thus becoming world runner-up.

A status that is still worth the first place for Portugal at the 2020 Paralympic Games, which will take place in Tokyo.

Norberto Mourão, it is recalled, had secured the qualification for the final on Wednesday afternoon, having won the qualifying round in which he participated.
