NOS celebrates Oscar® with an exclusive campaign and unique initiatives
for movie lovers
- Movies’ Card Óscares® and Daily Tickets at a very special price, to watch the largest number of films nominated for golden statuettes in NOS Cinemas across the country;
- ‘ÓSCARES® Party’ returns to the Central Square of Centro Colombo on February 28th, and NOS will offer 50 double tickets to its customers, with a movie session for the nominated films and an after-party included.
‘Get your Movies’ Card Óscares® and start filling out your checklist’ is the motto of the NOS campaign, which once again marks one of the main moments of celebration of cinema in NOS Cinemas across the country.
From February 6th to March 26th, film lovers will be able to watch the films nominated for the golden statuettes at exclusive prices, with access to unique benefits. The celebration of the greatest moment in cinema takes place on February 28th with another edition of the Oscar® Party, hosted by Fátima Lopes, at the Central Square of Centro Colombo.
The NOS Cinemas Movies’ Card offers 5 cinema tickets for the price of €20 and is the ideal opportunity for Portuguese people who want to watch as many recommended films as possible. The proposal is valid for any film with at least one Oscar® nomination, and limited to daily use, for 2D theaters only. Anonymous and transferable, this special Movies’ Card also gives you the possibility to buy a Small Popcorn Menu, or Nachos Menu, with a 10% discount (offer limited to one use per day), and cannot be combined with other current promotions.
With this special campaign, NOS challenges viewers to complete their checklist, ensuring that none of the recommended films are left unwatched. The offer also offers the option of a Daily Ticket for the single price of €5.95, to enjoy any day of the week, and at any time slot, in a 2D room, during the campaign’s validity.
The Movies’ Card is available for purchase at the physical box offices of NOS Cinemas, from north to south of the country and islands. The Daily Ticket can be purchased on the website, Cinemas NOS App and also at physical box offices. Both options can be used to secure your movie tickets through any purchasing channel.
Until March 26, viewers will be able to enjoy unique conditions to watch Oscar films (nominated and awarded) in NOS cinemas.
The OSCAR® Party
The most important moment in the film industry is celebrated in Portugal on February 28th, with the NOS Oscars® Party, which returns to the Central Square of Colombo, with Rádio Comercial as media partner. Fátima Lopes will be the host of this special night, which promises to experience the magic of cinema, with all the glamour. An unforgettable night, with screenings of the nominated films at Cinemas NOS Colombo, lots of surprises, interactive experiences, and entertainment by the Rádio Comercial DJ during the event and after-party.
With cinema lovers in mind, NOS will offer 50 double invitations, through draws that will take place on its social networks, throughout the campaign. Winners will have the opportunity to watch one of the nominated films of their choice and enjoy the after-party.
NOS distributed 12 of the films nominated for an Oscar®, including ‘Emília Perez’ – the most nominated film, with 13 nominations. The leading company in cinema exhibition and distribution in Portugal has 42 nominations in 17 categories.
The 97th Academy Awards will take place on March 2 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
