From October 4th, the doors of Espaço Oficina (EO) will open again for a new season of Oficinas do Teatro Oficina, one of A Oficina‘s bets in its formative aspect, here challenging children, teenagers and adults to participate in a transformative theatrical experience for many. A place for meeting and sharing, the Oficinas do Teatro Oficina are thus an open invitation to the community so that they come to the Theater and be part of this permanent construction and collective discovery. Registration is open until September 30th.
In this new school year 2021–2022, the workshops take place from October 4, 2021 to May 31, 2022 at Espaço Oficina – located at Av. D. João IV, 1213 Cave, 4810-431 Guimarães – occupying this stage of rehearsals and presentations throughout weekday afternoons. Tuesdays and Fridays, between 18:00 and 19:30, are reserved for the Youth Workshop for participants aged between 8 and 12 years, with guidance from trainer Luís Vilar. On Mondays and Wednesdays, from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm, the group is made up of elements between 12 and 18 years of age, trained by Diana Sá at Oficina PANOS. The group reserved for people over 18 years of age will have its stage at the Adult Workshop, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm, in the company of trainer Gonçalo Fonseca.
The project “PANOS – palcos novos palavras novas” (developed for twelve years by Culturgest and now organized by the National Theater D. Maria II) thus returns to integrate one of the Oficina Theater Workshops, thus crossing school and youth theater with new dramaturgies. Of the dozens of shows that will be created across the country under this project, a selection of six groups will be presented on the stages of D. Maria II, in April 2022.
