Fiat’s New 500 was named “Convertible of the Year” and “Best Small electric car for the city” by the British magazine “What Car?” at the “Car of the Year 2021” awards.
The jury referred to the dynamic behavior, driving style, range, price and interiors of this Fiat model. It is the first time, in the history of the magazine, that this title is attributed to an electric vehicle.
Fiat 500 is the first fully electric FCA model and has several high-end features. The 42 kW battery, for example, ensures a range of up to 320 km in the WLTP cycle, reaching up to 450 km in the urban cycle, and is accompanied, as standard, by a 85 kW charger in the Passion and Icon versions. It only takes 5 minutes to obtain a sufficient load to cover 50 kilometers, more than is necessary for average daily use.
The fast charger can also charge the battery up to 80% in just 35 minutes. In terms of performance, the batteries are combined with an 87 kW (118 hp) electric motor that offers automatically limited top speed of 150 km / h, acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 9.0 seconds and from 0 to 50 km / h in 3.1 seconds.
The model is also equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) that make it safer and easier to drive, in addition to being the first car in its segment to offer autonomous level 2 driving.
