The Portuguese guitar, acoustic viola, double bass, percussion, accordion and other wind instruments are the instruments that accompany the new themes of the album “com Vida” by AL Mouraria.
The most recent album, the group’s seventh album, has its edition at a time of national pandemic and the chosen title, “com Vida” (“with Life”), ends up being a message that AL Mouraria wishes to pass on. That we are alive, that we have to stay alive with all the necessary care, that life goes on and we have to move on with our lives facing the vicissitudes of the moment.
About two dozen artists were invited to participate in this album, and they readily accepted: Joana Amendoeira, Ana Laíns, Teresa Tapadas, Filipa Sousa, Tatiana Pinto and Teresa Viola, are some of the voices that integrate the work that brings together authors such as Tiago Torres da Silva, Paulo Abreu de Lima, Amália Rodrigues, Maria do Rosário Pedreira, Frederico de Brito and Armando Machado, among others.
“A Lua” is the album’s first single with lyrics by Amália Rodrigues and music by Valentim Filipe.
“com Vida”, was recorded at Boxer Studios in São Brás de Alportel-Algarve and Atlantico Blue Studios – Lisbon.
