‘The World Parade’ is a theme with raw sound and a present voice, contemporary notes, and the military drumming of a call to fight, a hymn, a prayer to the World! John Black Wolf is making a documentary/film for the second album to be released later this year.
[dropcap]J[/dropcap]ohn Black Wolf is Diogo Lima – he started his professional music career with an album released internationally in 2003 as a vocalist and composer for the rock band ‘Nordica’. In 2004 in Germany with renowned producer Tommy Newton he recorded his first solo album. In 2006 he formed the band DUST and signed a contract with a Portuguese label that launched the work in English.
Still in 2006, he received an honorable mention twice from the prestigious North American entity ‘Song of The Year’ with the theme ‘I Run Tonight’. That year he reached the Top as the best of the week on Rádio Atlantis (Azores) with the theme “My Heart and Soul”.
Noteworthy are the Hard Club concerts with “Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple) and Chad Smith (Red Hot Chilli Peppers), a live acoustic on the Antena 1 radio (Azores), and also on the Hard Club as a support band for Mr. Big.
In 2017 he released a folk-pop EP with lyrics in Portuguese and competed in the program The Voice. In 2019 he released his debut album ‘John Black Wolf’. All the themes were composed, written, and produced by the musician.
Diogo Lima has also been an actor since 2009. Among others he participated in the productions: ‘Um Tale de Natal’, ‘Rock You Now’, ‘O Gato das Botas’, ‘A Chronicle of the Good Trickster’, ‘Fame’, ‘The Little Mermaid’, ‘The Little Prince’. He also participated in short films; as an antagonist in the short ‘Insomnia’ and in the feature film ‘Uma Vida Sublime’. He also participated in the telenovelas ‘O Mundo ao Contrário’ (TVI), ‘I Love It’ (TVI) and ‘Heart of Gold’ (SIC).
