Nuno Júdice distinguished with APE Poetry Grand Prize
The poet receives the prize for the book “Return to a country scene”, published in 2020 by D. Quixote. The jury included Luís Filipe Castro Mendes, José Manuel de Vasconcelos and Paula Mendes Coelho.
Poet, fiction writer and essayist, Nuno Júdice was born in Portimão in 1949 and published the first book of poetry almost 50 years ago, entitled “The notion of poem” (1972). Since then, he has published more than 70 works, including poetry, fiction and essay.
Translated and published in Spain, Italy, or France, Nuno Júdice has already received some of the most relevant Portuguese literary awards, namely the Pen Club Award, the D. Dinis Award from the Casa de Mateus Foundation and the dst Literature Grand Prize.
